    1st Annual C.H.I.L.L. Scholarship Recipients

    In 2017, we awarded 5 deserving high school seniors with $1,000 scholarships each to provide financial support for their upcoming college journey.

    Jana Washington

    Future Psychologist

    Jana is a graduating senior from Benjamin Banneker Academic High School in Washington D.C. She plans to attend Drexel University in the Fall. Her career aspirations are to become a child and adolescent psychologist.

    Future Business Leader

    Moziqe is a graduating senior from Mckinley Tech High School in Washington D.C. She plans to attend North Carolina Central in the Fall. As a first generation college student, Mozique plans to major in Business Management.

    Future Software Engineer

    Jaden is a graduating senior from Washington Mathematics Science & Technology Public Charter High School. He plans to attend Norfolk State University in the Fall. Jaden plans on receiving his Bachelor's Degree in software engineering.

    Michaela is a graduating senior from Oakland, California. She plans to attend Howard University in the Fall. She will pursue her degree in mechanical engineering. Her plan is to better herself so that she can come back to the community that helped shape her and make a change for the next generation; especially low-income students like her.
