Starting on January 9th, Chill Reno will run a 6-session snowboarding program in partnership with the renowned Boreal Mountain Resort in Soda Springs, California. Chill will work with youth organizations in the Reno area to select the kids who will benefit most from its innovative programming. The group will participate in daily lessons before stepping on boards to practice their new skills, while Chill takes care of all equipment and snowboard lesson needs free-of-charge.<\/p>\n<p>The Chill Foundation, a non-profit youth-development organization based in Burlington, Vermont is proud to bring its programs to the youth of Reno to help area kids between the ages of 10 and 18 years-old overcome a variety of challenges they are facing. As part of an ongoing expansion effort across North America, Reno has been selected as one of 4 new pop-up locations this year with others slated to launch in the coming year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are stoked to bring our positive youth-development program to Boreal Mountain Resort and Woodward Tahoe,\u201d said Alex Bornstein, Executive Director of The Chill Foundation. \u201cFor the first time in more than ten years, we are launching a new program and we are grateful to be partnering with a world-class team at Boreal Mountain Resort to make it all possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBoreal Mountain Resort is excited to support The Chill Foundation and partner in the great work the organization is doing,\u201d said Matt Peterson, Vice President of Marketing and Brand Management for Boreal Mountain Resort and Woodward Tahoe. \u201cWe\u2019re proud to offer free season passes to all Chill youth participating in the program this year,\u201d Peterson said.\u00a0 \u201cWe see how impactful Chill programs are to these kids and we want to do our part to remove barriers so that they can continue to ride and overcome the significant challenges in their lives.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In addition to being Chill\u2019s first mountain partner to offer free season passes to its participants, Boreal Mountain Resort and Woodward Tahoe is also partnering with Chill on its #FeelGoodFriday fundraising campaign.
