MIRANDA WRITES BECOMES THE CHILL FOUNDATION\u2019S NYC AMBASSADOR<\/h2>\n

Being an avid snowboarder and rising artist, enjoying a top ten spot on Digital DJ Pool with her latest remix single \u201cToo Blessed<\/strong><\/a>\u201d for over four weeks, indie hip-hop artist Miranda Writes is the perfect person to spearhead a deeper relationship between snowboarding and hip-hop culture, while also making a positive impact.<\/p>\n

Writes has made snowboarding her refuge and outlet since childhood. She has been snowboarding for over ten years along the East Coast and as an advanced rider uses a Burton D\u00e9j\u00e0 Vu board.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve found a lot of happiness, freedom, and confidence in snowboarding. Snowboarding has taught me to step outside of my comfort zone which has naturally helped my journey as a performer<\/em>,\u201d\u00a0commented Writes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Upon learning about\u00a0The Chill Foundation<\/strong><\/a>, (founded in 1995 by the Burton Snowboard founders) a nonprofit that inspires underserved youth to overcome challenges through boardsports, Miranda knew she had to become involved. This month, Miranda Writes became the NYC Ambassador for The Chill Foundation. As their ambassador, Miranda will encourage, instill, and lead various workshops both on and off the slopes to incorporate Chill\u2019s core values: respect, courage, patience, persistence, responsibility, and pride.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m excited to support the youth because ultimately it\u2019s an opportunity to not only inspire but learn together. One love is my mantra and that\u2019s a mentality we can all apply regardless of who we are, or where we\u2019re from<\/em>,\u201d\u00a0Writes added<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a non-profit organization located in 15 cities across North America, we are excited to partner with Miranda as our newest NYC Ambassador<\/em>,\u201d\u00a0said Jeff Morton, Vice President of Marketing and Development at The Chill Foundation<\/strong>. \u201cMiranda is going to be a great role model, advocate, mentor, and inspirational artist that our youth will look up to and be inspired by. We are grateful for her willingness to get involved and help us spread awareness about Chill to her fans<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n
