Carl is a teacher by trade and was a \u201cChill\u201d Agency Lead during the \u201895 season<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Thomas Caldwell, from Seattle, volunteers to ride with the youth. He is the first pseudo local coordinator for \u201cChill\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>1997:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The Burton Foundation is established as a private operating foundation and registered as a 501c3 charitable non-profit<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Boston is launched at Wachusett Mountain\u2022 Carl continues to try to raise money to take the strain off of Burton<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Volunteers in all three cities are running the program locally, but a local coordinator in each city is hired and paid a stipend for their efforts\u2022 The programs name is changed to \u201cChill\u201d after one of Burton\u2019s very first videos<\/p>\n<p><strong>1998:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 NYC is launched at Sterling Forest<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Burton decides that the best way to enable continued growth of Chill is to find new sources of support<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Jenn Davis comes on-board as the director in October having been the Boot Product Manager of Burton since the late 80\u2019s<\/p>\n<p><strong>1999:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Seattle program moves to Steven\u2019s Pass<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Chill\u2019s first year at the US Open; coordinators from NYC and Boston bring a carload of youth<\/p>\n<p><strong>2000:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Los Angeles is launched at Snow Valley<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Chill brings three youth from each of the five cities to the US Open. Southwest Airlines and Mitsubishi Motors are both integral in making that happen<\/p>\n<p><strong>2001:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Chicago is launched at the Raging Buffalo<\/p>\n<p><strong>2002:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Seattle program moves back to The Summit at Snoqualmie<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Salt Lake City and Washington D.C. are launched at Brighton and Whitetail Resort respectively. This is the first time Chill launches more than one city in one season!<\/p>\n<p><strong>2003:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Toronto is launched at Snow Valley Resort<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 First year of the weekly themes<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 First year of the National Chill Golf Tournament<\/p>\n<p><strong>2004:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 New York moves from Sterling Forest to Mountain Creek<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Chill brings 30 youth to the US Open<\/p>\n<p><strong>2005:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Chill\u2019s official ten-year anniversary season!<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Vancouver and Denver are launched at Cypress Mountain and Keystone Resort respectively<\/p>\n<p><strong>2006:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Portland and Prince George are launched at Timberline and Tabor Mountain!<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Baltimore is added as one of the four nights in the DC program<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Michele Boguslofski becomes the new Director of Chill<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The Los Angeles program moves from Snow Valley to Bear Mountain<\/p>\n<p><strong>2007:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The Chicago program moves from Raging Buffalo to Four Lakes<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Chill runs programs in Australia for the first year<\/p>\n<p><strong>2008:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Chill announces its future expansion plans into Skate, Surf, and SUP<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The DC\/Baltimore program moves to Wisp Mountain<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The LA program moves to Mt.
